We are a Bible based, Jesus focused, people loving church.

Our purpose is to live and share the love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ through the guidance of the
Holy Spirit. Together, we seek to learn, teach, hear, minister, support, grow and worship as a community
of faith. As Christ’s disciples, we accept the call to reach out with God’s love to those outside the
Church. Thus, as part of the Church universal, we intend to serve both the physical and spiritual needs of
our immediate community and the world.
We are a Bible-based, Jesus-focused, people-loving church. We share the following affirmation:
We rejoice in God as revealed in Scripture, the One and only God, eternally existing in three
Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer and Redeemer of the heavens
and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. We confess that Jesus is the Son of God, born
of a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit, fully God and fully man. He was crucified on
the cross to atone for our sins. Jesus died, was resurrected and ascended into heaven. He is the
Head of the church and will return again. We experience the Holy Spirit as a gift given to all, in
and through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. He draws people to faith in Jesus and enables
them to grow in Christ-like character. Gifts of the Holy Spirit equip believers for service to
Christ.
We acknowledge the revelation of God found in the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments,
and believe it is our final authority in faith and life. We believe everyone is created in the image
of God, although sin separates us from Him. Salvation is a free gift of God, entirely apart from
works and is given to all who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Our
response to Him includes faith, repentance, and baptism. We acknowledge that the saved and the
lost will be bodily resurrected and will receive final judgment, the saved to everlasting life and
the lost to everlasting punishment.
As a church, we celebrate believers’ baptism by immersion (but recognize other forms as well)
and weekly communion at the Lord’s Table. We are called to love God and love all people and to
share the gospel of Christ throughout the world.
